Boudoir Photography + Confidence Coaching
Las Vegas, NV

When boudoir photographer Courtney Allison approached me, she was at a crucial turning point. After building a successful business under her own name, she was ready to evolve from "I" to "we". She'd assembled an amazing team of women - photographer, stylists, and a creative assistant - who shared her vision of empowering clients through boudoir photography experiences. But her personal brand couldn't capture the collective magic they were creating together.

What makes her work particularly powerful was understanding that a boudoir photo session is more than just beautiful pictures – it's an act of radical self-love in a world that often perpetuates women's self-abandonment. Many of her clients, especially those in service-focused careers/roles, spend their lives putting others first. Through Courtney's lens and her team's supportive guidance, these women reclaim time for themselves, challenging societal beauty standards and connecting with their own power and sensuality. It's not about waiting for "someday" to feel beautiful – it's about celebrating themselves exactly as they are, right now.

Transformed solo photographer brand into bold team identity. Enhanced client connection, brand confidence + team growth potential

client overview

Moving from a personal brand to a team identity is complex enough. But Wicked Babes needed something even more nuanced: a brand that could embody seemingly opposite qualities. They needed to convey both rebellion and safety, edginess and warmth, playful energy and professional expertise. The visual identity had to balance multiple needs:

  • Bold enough to challenge societal norms while creating a safe space for vulnerability
  • Professional enough to earn trust for intimate photography sessions
  • Playful enough to reflect their collective energy and enthusiasm
  • Sophisticated enough to justify premium pricing
  • Flexible enough to support their mission of collective empowerment

Through our strategic discovery process, we uncovered their core values: empowerment, authenticity, inclusivity, compassion, confidence, connection, and safety. These values became our compass for every decision, from naming through to website design.

the challenge

How do you create a brand that's both bold enough to scream girly pop-punk and professional enough to build deep client trust? That's exactly what this photographer needed as she evolved from a solo act to a powerhouse team.

The Goal

Create a brand that proves you don't have to choose between being professional and being yourself - you can be both, brilliantly.

We set out to develop an identity that would:

  • Support the evolution from personal brand to team endeavor
  • Connect with clients through authentic personality
  • Balance edgy style with approachable warmth
  • Create immediate trust through professional polish
  • Stand out in a crowded photography market

the solution

With a rally cry to 'color outside the lines of conformity' and a playful-meets-powerful design system, we created a brand that invites everyone to embrace their rebel spirit

Through our strategic naming workshop, "Wicked Babes" emerged as the perfect paradox - playfully naughty yet deeply welcoming. The name embodies their core values of empowerment, authenticity, and inclusivity while creating space for both boldness and safety. This wasn't just about looking good; it was about building a brand foundation that could truly support their mission of helping people find and celebrate themselves.

We crafted a brand identity that celebrates breaking free from constraints. A custom-lettered 70s-inspired script logo brings the playful energy, while a devil-horned smiley face embodies Courtney's "sweet but naughty" approach. Rebellious scribble elements and the bold tagline 'color outside the lines of conformity' reinforce the brand's message of authentic self-expression. The color palette of hot pink and black with cream, lilac, and turquoise accents creates a bold but sophisticated atmosphere that refuses to be confined by convention.

We crafted messaging that puts clients at the center of their own transformation story. The rallying cry "color outside the lines of conformity" became an invitation to join a movement of self-celebration. Every piece of copy reinforces their commitment to compassion, connection, and confidence-building.

The custom website brings these values to life visually and functionally. Featuring candid videos of the team's infectious energy alongside stunning photography, it shows potential clients exactly what to expect: a safe space where authenticity meets empowerment. From the devil-horned smiley face to the rebellious scribble aesthetics, every design element was chosen to balance bold beauty with approachable warmth.

the results

Bold enough to turn heads, authentic enough to win hearts: that's what strategic branding can do

The new brand identity has given Courtney and her team the perfect platform to show up authentically across all touchpoints. Their social content flows naturally from their brand personality, making it easy to create engaging posts that reinforce their values. The website has become more than just a portfolio - it's a destination that gives potential clients a genuine feel for the empowering experience they'll have.

Most importantly, the brand successfully bridges the gap between edgy appeal and professional trust. It attracts clients who might have been hesitant about boudoir photography but are drawn to the combination of bold energy and genuine warmth. From the moment someone encounters the Wicked Babes brand, they understand this is a place where they can safely step outside their comfort zone and discover new aspects of themselves.

Courtney reflected on why she chose to work with me: "You sold me on the fact that you were excited, you had shown me investment before I had even hired you, and you had worked with a similar photographer so I knew you were someone who would understand my world. You didn't treat me like I was another job, you treated this like art you couldn't wait to get your hands on."

client TESTIMONIAL

"HELLLLLLLFREAKINGYEAH, we CRUSHED some goals!"

"Working with Genevieve at Paper Panther Studio has been amazing! Together, we developed a name for my brand, a new branding identity, and a fully-customized website that I am in love with. HELLLLLLLFREAKINGYEAH, we CRUSHED some goals! I came into this with NO name and a hot mess of ideas, and Genevieve seriously brought all of it to life—and then some!

My business was already bold, but with this new branding, I'm screaming loud and grabbing everyone's attention. I'm confident now that I'll stand out in any crowd... It feels like it perfectly reflects who I am, and my clients are noticing too—they love it and keep telling me how 'me' it is, which makes me feel proud and excited."
